IV Sedation, or Intravenous Sedation, is typically used for shorter treatment sessions. When IV Sedation is administered, the effects are immediate, and you may feel as though you slept through the entire procedure. While under IV Sedation, you might experience grogginess once the IV is stopped, but this feeling will fade over the next few hours.

Dr. Lina Jameel and her experienced dental team closely monitor your sedation throughout the treatment to ensure your safety and comfort. They prioritize your well-being and are dedicated to creating a relaxed environment for your dental care.

If you choose sedation, it is crucial to inform Dr. Jameel about any prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, herbal or nutritional supplements, allergies, and health conditions you may have. Open communication with Dr. Jameel allows her to tailor the sedation and treatment to your specific needs and address any questions or concerns you may have about sedation dentistry.

It is important to note that if you opt for IV Sedation, you will need someone to provide transportation on the day of your procedure. Although there are no lingering aftereffects, the sedative effects of these options can take up to 24 hours to fully diminish.
