Presenting our Technology
Jameel, Lina – Dentist Herndon
Digital X-Ray
In our office we utilize only the latest and highest-quality equipment. The digital X-rays we use allow accurate and detailed diagnosis of problems such as cavities, infections, periodontal disease and impacted teeth. The digital technology allows us to take a closer look at your teeth, gums, and jawbones to assess your oral health and tailor a specific treatment plan that will meet your needs. But most importantly, the use of digital X-rays provides considerably less radiation to the patient.
Rotary Endodontics
Rotary endodontics is a root canal treatment performed by using a special rotary file. These kinds of files are powered by an engine that rotates the file during the procedure. The use of electric tools allows faster and more reliable treatment.
Trios Digital Scanner
Impressions are necessary for the fabrication of dental restorations, such as crowns, bridges, and dental implants. We utilize our hand-held Trios intra-oral scanner to take precise 3-dimensional digital impressions. Even the most challenging cases can be accurately scanned with our intra-oral scanner, without the need for the goopy trays used in manual impressions.
As we complete your scan, you will be able to view the impression on the monitor along with us, illustrating more clearly why we recommend restoration. With these precise Trios 3D digital scans, your restorations require less preparation work and can be fabricated more quickly. This means you can have your restoration placed and be enjoying the results sooner than with traditional impression methods.
We look forward to seeing you again at your next appointment with us. We love to make a great impression.
Intra-Oral Camera
The intra-oral camera is about the size and shape of a pen. It is used to record images of your teeth, gums, mouth, and tongue from inside your mouth. Due to its small size and sleek design, it is comfortable, easy to use, and able to view a wide range of angles. The intra-oral camera is a safe and effective tool that can be used with patients of every age.
The intra-oral camera is a highly valuable resource for both diagnosis and treatment planning. Each time we use the intra-oral camera, a new disposable cover is employed. This ensures your health and safety at all times. After your exam, images captured by the intra-oral camera may be digitally stored, printed out, or deleted.
Picasso Soft Tissue Laser
With the Picasso soft tissue laser at our disposal, Dr. Jameel can provide precise high-quality treatments that are relatively pain-free, less invasive, and useful for a wide variety of dental treatments.
A laser is essentially a tiny beam of highly concentrated light. This beam can be used to provide pinpoint accuracy in treatments. Because the laser sterilizes the tissues and seals off blood vessels as it is used, the chance of infection or bleeding following laser treatment is minimal. The Picasso soft tissue laser is minimally-invasive but highly effective.
With the highly versatile Picasso soft tissue laser, Dr. Jameel can seal nerve endings and blood vessels and treat soft tissues simultaneously. This creates less stress on the gums, which significantly reduces both swelling and bleeding. Moreover, by using the soft tissue laser, Dr. Jameel minimizes patients’ discomfort both during and after the treatment and lessens their recovery time.
Dr. Jameel uses the Picasso soft tissue laser to provide our patients with precise dental care with a comfortable dental experience.
